THE SECONDARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL WILL PROVIDE STRATEGIC DIRECTION AND LEADERSHIP TO THE SCHOOL OPERATIONS. HE/SHE WILL BE EXPECTED TO LEAD THE SCHOOL AS AN EFFECTIVE, HOLISTIC AND SUCCESSFUL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION BY OVERSEEING BOTH ACADEMIC AND PASTORAL CARE LIFE OF THE SCHOOL BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:-
IMPLEMENTING AND UPHOLDING THE ETHOS OF AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.
ENSURING THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF EVERY CHILD AND ADULT.
DEMONSTRATING AND MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS INCLUDING COURTEOUS, COLLABORATION, CONFIDENTIALITY AND COMMITMENT.
PLANNING, DELEGATING AND DIRECTING WORK TO ALL OTHER STAFF AND MAKE DECISIONS ON ACADEMIC-RELATED MATTERS AT THE SCHOOL LEVEL.
PLANNING AND MONITORING THE SCHOOL BUDGET AND ENSURE ALL THE EXPENDITURE IS WITHIN THE BUDGET LIMIT.
EFFECTING ACADEMIC POLICIES BY IMPLEMENTING PROCEDURES, STANDARDS AND PROGRAMS RELEVANT AND APPROPRIATE TO THE SD/IP.
ENSURING THAT ACADEMIC AND PASTORAL DEVELOPMENT IS PLANNED, PROPOSED AND CARRIED OUT ACCORDINGLY.
OVERSEEING THE DEVELOPMENT OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL CHILDREN IN EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.
OVERSEEING PEOPLE MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING RECRUITMENT, INDUCTION, MONITORING, ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION (APPRAISAL) OF STAFF.
ENSURING EFFECTIVE TEACHING, LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT PROCESSES AND EVALUATE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.
SET AND MONITOR LEARNING GOALS FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS BASED ON CURRICULA IMPLEMENTATION AT THE SCHOOL.
ENSURING THE ESTABLISHMENT, MAINTENANCE AND UP-KEEP OF THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND CLASSROOM AMBIANCE CONDUCIVE FOR 21ST CENTURY LEARNING.
OVERSEEING THE DEVELOPMENT OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL CHILDREN IN EXTRA-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES.
ENSURING AUTHENTIC MAINTENANCE OF THE STUDENT DATABASE INCLUDING ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, ATTENDANCE AND DISCIPLINARY RECORDS. |
