Salary:  KSHS. 500,000 - 550,000 PLUS GENEROUS COMPANY BENEFITS
Additional Attributes:  REPORTING TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR, THE SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR WILL OVERSEE THE DAILY OPERATIONS IN THE AREAS OF SUPPLY AND PRODUCTION. HE/SHE WILL BE INCHARGE OF ALL COMPANY OPERATIONS IN BOTH SUPPLY CHAIN AND PRODUCTION DEPARTMENTS ACTIVITIES WHICH INCLUDES SOURCING, FARMER ENGAGEMENT AND LOYALTY ACTIVITIES, COMPANY CERTIFICATION PROCESSES, PRODUCTION PLANNING AND EXECUTION, FINISHED PRODUCTS QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS, LOGISTICS, AND MAINTENANCE. THE ROLE IS CRITICAL IN MAINTAINING HIGH STANDARDS OF QUALITY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY. HE/SHE WILL SUPERVISE OTHER HEADS OF DEPARTMENT LIKE FACTORY MANAGER, AGRICULTURE SERVICES MANAGER, INTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEMS MANAGER AND LOGISTICS MANAGER. OTHER DUTIES INCLUDES:- STRATEGIC PLANNING AND EXECUTION: WORK CLOSELY WITH THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT AND THE EXECUTIVE TEAM TO ESTABLISH THE COMPANY’S STRATEGIC GOALS AND DEVELOP LONG-TERM PLANS TO ACHIEVE THEM. COLLABORATE WITH THE SOURCING TEAM TO OPTIMIZE PRODUCTS SOURCING, MAXIMIZE VOLUMES SOURCED, BUILD AND MAINTAIN LONG-TERM SUSTAINABLE RELATIONSHIPS WITH SMALLHOLDER FARMER BASE, AND IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES TO MITIGATE LONG-TERM SUPPLY RISK. ESTABLISH WITH THE FACTORY MANAGER A MANUFACTURING PLAN AND POLICY GUIDELINES TO DRIVE THE PERFORMANCE OF KEY RESULT AREAS ON PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES AND CONTINUOUS IMPLEMENTATION MONITORING. DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT EFFICIENT LOGISTICS STRATEGIES. OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND OVERSIGHT: DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT, AND MONITOR DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES TO PROVIDE VISIBILITY INTO THE GOALS, PROGRESS, AND OBSTACLES OF KEY INITIATIVES. MONITORING PROCESSES, IMPLEMENTING AND ENFORCING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, AND TROUBLESHOOTING ANY OPERATIONAL ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE. OVERSEE THE PRODUCTION OF MONTHLY REPORTS OUTLINING PROGRESS AND MILESTONES REALIZED WITHIN THE PRODUCTION AND SUPPLY. MONITOR THE FACILITY’S EQUIPMENT NEEDS AND ENSURES THAT THE TECHNICAL TEAM IS WORKING TO KEEP THE COMPANY’S EQUIPMENT AND PHYSICAL FACILITY PROPERLY MAINTAINED. SOURCING AND FARMER ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES. FORECASTING AND BUDGETS: SUPPORT THE EXECUTION OF RAW MATERIAL PROCUREMENT PROCESSES AND COORDINATE MATERIAL AND RESOURCES ALLOCATION. SUPPORT THE CFO IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND REPORTING AGAINST BUDGETS, FORECASTS, AND RESOURCE ALLOCATION EFFECTIVELY. OVERSEE THE COST-EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF SUPPLY, PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS IN CONSISTENCE WITH BUDGETED LEVELS OF COSTS. COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT: ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH INDUSTRY REGULATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS. ADHERE TO THE COMPANY’S POLICIES AND STANDARDS, AND ENSURE THAT LAWS AND REGULATIONS ARE BEING FOLLOWED. IDENTIFY AND MITIGATE OPERATIONAL RISKS TO ENSURE BUSINESS CONTINUITY. MAINTAIN UP-TO-DATE KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRY TRENDS, TECHNOLOGIES, AND BEST PRACTICES. TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT: LEAD, MOTIVATE, AND SUPPORT THE TEAM WITHIN A TIME-SENSITIVE AND DEMANDING ENVIRONMENT. PROMOTES CROSS TRAINING TO OPTIMIZE WORKFORCE, ENSURES FUNCTIONAL COVERAGE, REDUCE LABOR COSTS, AND SUPPORTS SUCCESSION PLANNING.
